August was three good days for the Dow Jones Industrial Average

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed just short of 53,300, roughly 250 points and about 0.5% lower, after American forces struck two Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island and Tehran answered with missile and drone attacks on bases in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
